Welcome Back, World.

Many years ago, a bunch of fellows in their twenties (some still in their late teens) had an idea. That strength was gained in numbers. That music was more fun with other people. And even more fun than that with other bands. That when bands banded together, they had more power. When bands banded together, they were able to form this construct that more people could see. When bands banded together, they created more dynamic sounds. More dynamic sounds became more variety that a person could get right in the same place. Right in the same venue. Right in the same practice room. We were Love Affair Records - "A Love Affair between musicians and their music...". The name was a little fruity but I guess as time went on, it got a little easier to identify what it stood for. Not the particular name, but the idea.
Years passed. Bands broke up. Bands reformed. Solo projects were completed. Solo projects stalled. And when it finally really boiled down to life and death, then the idea of a music commune was pretty insignificant. Eventually it really became the matter of a death. To be reborn... See. Music that's created and recorded can never die. It can be not listened to. But it can never be forgotten.
We're here today to remind everyone who comes here that we haven't forgotten. Maybe it was all dreamed up as easy as children dream up ideas. Created by guys just past the teenage angst, but still close enough to think that anything could happen. Maybe it was all physical merch stands at shows with 5 band bills. Maybe it was a physical amp sitting on a stage with a dreamer screaming into a microphone - right in front of you. Making the noise you could hear happen right in front of you. Real bands with real dreams making real music. Those bands still exist. Sure, they may not be making any NEW music as that particular project per se, but the recordings still exist. The videos still exist. The fliers still exist. The memories still exist. It's important that they never be forgotten. Instead, archived. Promoted.

We're back.
